FAIR (Family Advice and Information Resource) is an information and advice service for people with learning disabilities and carers in Edinburgh.

We are an independent charity, set up in 1991 by parents and carers. We are not part of any other organisation. The advice we give is free, and anything you tell us will be kept private.

The service we offer is:

  • Independent - we are not part of any other organisation.

  • Confidential - anything you tell us will stay private.

  • Free - you do not pay for our services.

Following Government guidance, FAIR staff continue to work from home. The FAIR office remains closed to members of the public.

We are adapting to our new way of working and are able to provide one to one advice by phone or electronic contact. We can also contact agencies on your behalf.
